Why is it better to have someone come in to my home to take care of my furr-kids when I go away?
Having the family away can be stressful enough. Add to that, having to stay in an unfamiliar environment and the stress increases. A stressed furr-kid is more vulnerable to anxiety and illness. It’s more comfortable for them to stay in their own environment. As you know “there’s no place like home”!
If I get held up and can’t make it home by a reasonable time, am I able to call you last-minute to care for my furr-kids?
Last minute requests are welcomed! If I am available, I will gladly care for your furr-kids at an unscheduled time.
Once I’m comfortable with you taking care of my furr-kids, will you ever send someone else instead?
I will be the one that will be taking care of your furr-kids. I am the sole service provider and have no employees. In the event of vacation or a long absence, I will introduce you to a trusted person who will cover for me.
Will you come to my home for consultation and to meet my furr-kids before caring for them?
Yes, it’s very important that we all meet in your home before any care is given. If this is the first time someone other than family or friends will be coming in to care for your furr-kids, a dry run may be a good idea.
Do you ever care for people’s furr-kids in your home?
Unfortunately, or fortunately for me, my home is pretty full . Overnight guests seem to rock the animal kingdom, so I am not able to bring anyone home with me.
