  1. We are the proud (and untrained) owners of three mini-daschunds—Waldo, Bauer, and Audrey. Waldo is the oldest, boasting 13 years of “owning” us. Bauer and Audrey are 4 years old and have captured our hearts as well.

As anyone lucky enough to have pets know, when you have to travel, leaving your pets in the care of others is decision not made lightly. When it was only Waldo, he travelled along with us. This is not as easy a feat with three, so we boarded. I will not knock boarding, it works for some and there are many reputable boarding facilities (we used a very good one). However, reality is that each time we boarded our little ones we had to be prepared to deal with the stress that was placed on them. This usually resulted in disrupted digestive systems, aggressive behavior towards us (almost like temper-tantrums), and finally less travel by us.

Of course the flip side is having someone come into your home to care for your pets—and that in itself raises questions about trust.

And then we found Cindy, or as we refer to her in our home—Auntie Cindy! Cindy has saved our family—yes, our family—because the decision “to go, or not to go” had become such a stressful a decision. Cindy has cared for our minis on more than one occasion and we cannot express how much EVERYONE appreciates her.

Cindy has bonded with our babies. The care that she provides to them allows us to travel without worries. She also has a wonderful reputation with our veterinarian, an added bonus for that “just in case” emergency. Our little ones are so much happier staying in their own environment, and WE are so much more happy because we know that they are being taken care of by a compassionate, and caring person who provides the love, attention, and care that they crave and quite frankly deserve.

We would recommend Comfy-at-Home to anyone who truly cares about the well being of his or her furry friends.

patty’s parents here!! she wants us to tell everyone that she feels SO lucky to be famous on cindy’s blog and especially for having cindy as her new best friend! we can take credit for teaching her how to “hug” as we have always carried her on our hip like a baby :) it might be difficult when our first human baby comes in two months but hopefully, with cindy’s help, patty will adapt well. thanks for everything cindy!
